Hey there, fellow art enthusiasts! Today, I want to share an exciting milestone in my artistic journey that has me jumping with joy. I've been invited to showcase my work at the CapSOUL gallery at Akron Soul Train, and I can't wait to bring my vision to life. This installation will highlight my Skin Color project and its effort to positively effect community in and around Akron.
Immersion and Interactivity: One of the things that sets Skin Color apart is its interactive nature. As a visitor, you won't just be observing from a distance; you'll be an active participant in the experience. Prepare to engage your senses, interact with the installation, and be part of stimulating conversations that challenge preconceived notions.
Save the Date: Mark your calendars for the grand opening of Skin Color on August 4th at the CapSoul gallery. The exhibition will run until September 8th, giving you ample time to plan your visit. And don't forget to keep September 8th free for the closing reception, which coincides with the quarterly Akron Art Walk. If you can only come one day, I encourage you to come to the closing. We will hang out and check out art at the different locations and probably get some good food.
